Broadmoor West in Rio Rancho, NM

Broadmoor West is a Richmond American Homes neighborhood in Rio Rancho, opened in 2026 as a new phase of the Broadmoor Heights masterplan and laid out directly across the street from the original development. Ranch and two-story plans went up together, so the streets read as one build rather than a mix of eras. The builder set aside a picnic area, parks and playgrounds inside the neighborhood, with trails running between them. Broadmoor Heights itself sits between Kaiser Road, Montezuma Boulevard, Galahad Street and Broadmoor Boulevard, near schools and shopping on the city's north side.

The wider Broadmoor Heights subdivision is organized around a public improvement district, formed to finance its roads, water and sanitary sewer lines, storm drainage and the landscaping that goes with them. That district covers roughly 116 acres and about 414 residential lots. A homeowners association, working through an outside management company, oversees the community, and homes here carry association dues.

Broadmoor Heights was planned as five distinct neighborhoods knit together by parks, trails and open space rather than as a single tract, and Broadmoor West carries that pattern onto its own side of the street. Floor plans range from single-level ranches to two-story designs with as many as five bedrooms, and finishes and options are selected during construction.
