Stone Mountain in Rio Rancho, NM

Stone Mountain is a D.R. Horton subdivision in northern Rio Rancho, laid out along Travertine Avenue in the 87144 ZIP and one of the newer developments on that side of the city. The houses are single-family plans of two to two and a half stories, delivered with fenced back yards, landscaped front yards and the builder's connected-home system. A homeowners association covers the subdivision, and walking trails are part of the setting. Grocery stores and shops sit close by, and the streets fall in the V. Sue Cleveland High attendance area.

The subdivision reached the city as a Stone Mountain LLC project, and the plat was reworked before it was finished: lot widths across most of the site went from forty to fifty feet, and the developer took an extension while the approval was still open.

Eagle Ridge Middle also draws from these streets, a short distance from the subdivision itself.
