Jemez Vista at Mariposa in Rio Rancho, NM

Jemez Vista is a D.R. Horton neighborhood inside Mariposa, the master-planned community on the northern edge of Rio Rancho. Price Land Development Group platted the ten-acre site and finished delivering lots in early 2021, a build that started in June 2020. Six one- and two-story floor plans went up here, ranging from about 1,765 to 2,922 square feet. Residents belong to the Mariposa Homeowners Association, which opens the Silver LEED-certified residents' center, indoor and outdoor pools, fitness and movement studios and the community park to the neighborhood. The Mariposa Preserve, 2,200 acres of protected land threaded with hiking and biking trails, sits just beyond.

Homes here also carry a Mariposa Public Improvement District assessment, billed on the county tax statement through 2032. That district financed the water supply and wastewater systems that made this stretch of mesa buildable. Master association dues cover landscaping, utilities, insurance, facility repairs and reserve contributions; the pockets of Mariposa that have gates, Redondo and The M, pay separate fees for them, and Jemez Vista is not one of those.

US 550 and I-25 are roughly fifteen minutes out, which puts Albuquerque about half an hour away.
