Parkway in Albuquerque, NM

Parkway is an established neighborhood on Albuquerque's West Side, inside the 87120 ZIP and feeding into West Mesa High School. Its residents run a volunteer association recognized by the city's Office of Neighborhood Coordination; membership is free and no dues are compulsory, so the group works through newsletters, events and turnout rather than recorded covenants. Parkway Park sits within the neighborhood boundaries. Ladera Golf Course, a municipal course the city has operated since 1980, and the Petroglyph National Monument escarpment are both a short drive away on the same side of the river, which puts trails and open space close to the street grid.

Because there is no homeowners association, nothing here is governed by recorded covenants or an assessment. The Parkway Neighborhood Association fills that space instead: it keeps bylaws, holds a standing recognition with the city, and runs membership drives, events, newsletters and a section aimed at residents over fifty.
