Desert Ridge Trails in Albuquerque, NM

Desert Ridge Trails is a single-family subdivision in northeast Albuquerque, sitting inside the territory of the Nor Este Neighborhood Association in City Council District 4. The city maintains a park of the same name on Blue Cypress NE within the neighborhood. A homeowners association covers the common areas, road maintenance and a security component, with HOAMCO's Albuquerque office managing it. A second, separate association, The Estates at Desert Ridge Trails, governs an adjoining enclave under different management, which is why two association names turn up on properties in this pocket. Barstow Park and Heritage Hills are the closest other city parks.

The subdivision has no recognized neighborhood association of its own on the city's District 4 roster. Representation at City Hall runs through Nor Este, which covers a wider slice of the far northeast, while day-to-day governance stays with the homeowners association.

The split between the two associations has a paper trail. The Estates group moved its management to Associa Canyon Gate in 2017; the Desert Ridge Trails association stayed with HOAMCO, and the two have been billed and administered separately since.
