Snow Heights Community
Fifteen years of showing houses out here and I still tell buyers the same thing: the reason Snow Heights homes for sale look like they came from one hand is that they did. Edward H. Snow opened the first Snow Heights Addition in December 1952. The next year he bought a quarter section just east of the Hoffmantown Shopping Center and put 500 houses on it, then picked up another 640 acres northeast of that and kept building. A lot of the first owners worked at Sandia Labs. That's the neighborhood's whole origin story in three sentences.Where it actually isThe neighborhood association draws its lines at Indian School on the north, I-40 on the south, Pennsylvania on the west and Wyoming on the east. That core is 87110, tucked southeast of Uptown. The name traveled east with Snow's later additions, though, which is why you'll also see Snow Heights addresses out toward Eubank in 87112, where Snow Heights Blvd NE still runs and the Snow Heights Promenade sits on Eubank.
